NSW Triathlon is excited to announce that Elite Energy Events has been appointed as Race Director for the 2026 NSW Triathlon Club Championships.
This year’s Championships will return to the beautiful coastal town of Forster on Saturday, 21 February 2026, taking advantage of the scheduling gap created by the Huskisson Triathlon Festival’s move to late March.
A Fresh Season Opener
Moving the Club Championships to February marks a significant shift in the calendar—positioning it into a period of the year smack bang into the middle of the sesaon, featuring warmer weather and making it more accessible to families and the extended community. Forster’s sheltered waterways, scenic cycle routes and pristine beaches provide the perfect backdrop for club athletes to race in style.
Elite Energy’s Vision
Elite Energy has built a reputation for delivering innovative, athlete‑focused events across Australia. Under the leadership of CEO Mark “Emo” Emerton, the organisation is already planning to extend race weekend into a full festival of activity, featuring:
-
Crit Racing on Forster’s new circuit
-
Ocean Swims off iconic Forster Main Beach
-
Fun Runs for families and juniors
Despite these exciting plans, the heart of the weekend remains the NSW Triathlon Club Championships—an exclusive competition for Standard and Premium season‑licence holders in 2025/26.
“We’re delighted to partner with Elite Energy for our 2026 Club Championships,” said Adam Wicks, CEO of NSW Triathlon. “Their creativity and commitment to the athlete experience will take our event to new heights, while building on the amazing base created by our outgoing Race Director Partner, H Events.
The NSW Triathlon Board extend a sincere and heartfelt thanks to Paul, Hanne, Grace, Ja and the amazing team from H Events, who have been fantastic to work with and delivered a superb event for the past three years.
Post‑Race Celebrations: As always, the Championships will conclude with a vibrant post‑race party—complete with music, award presentations and dancing the night away. All to honour club achievements, and to strengthen the bonds within our triathlon community.
Rego’s opening soon: Registration for the 2026 NSW Triathlon Club Championships opens soon, but in the meantime, clubs and individuals are encrouraged to secure their accomodation ASAP.
