The Shepparton Triathlon Club recently hosted its flagship event, the Cavalier Homes Aquathlon, a key State Championship and a pathway to qualify for Townsville 2024.
With an impressive turnout of nearly 200 participants across all categories, this event stands out as one of the most successful in recent years. Among the participants, 70 athletes engaged in the Sprint, while 130 competitors in the Long Course disciplines, adding to the event’s vibrancy.
Blessed with nearly ideal weather conditions, the day saw a pleasant water temperature of 22.5 degrees Celsius, allowing for a non-wetsuit swim in the Sprint distance race.
The event’s triumph not only reflects the commitment of organisers and volunteers but also the enthusiasm and support of the vibrant triathlon community in Shepparton.
