Five great reasons to make the trip to the Byron Bay Triathlon Festival in May.

It’s hard to restrict ourselves to only five reasons to make the trip to NX Sports, Byron Triathlon Festival, scheduled for the weekend of Friday 10th May to Sunday 12th May. But we held ourselves back and felt these five reasons were more than enough to ensure that this is one not to be missed!!!

  1. The Location – Byron Bay Triathlon Festival is one of the most spectacular and loved events on the calendar with a spectacular ocean swim, safe and flat ride through the nearby countryside Byron’s much-loved relaxed vibe. Combine the spectacular May weather with the ocean temperature – it’s not hard to see why the Byron Bay Tri is one of Australia’s favorite triathlons.
  2. The other activities – Before or after your race, go surfing, kayaking, or simply sunbathe on the beach. The town also has a vibrant nightlife, with a range of bars and restaurants to choose from. There are also plenty of opportunities to explore the natural beauty of the area, including hikes through the nearby national parks.
  3. State and National Titles on the line – In 2024, this event will feature not one but two titles for our members to etch their name into eternal glory! Once again hosting the NSW Sprint State Championships, our great mates at AusTriathlon have also added in the Aquathlon National Championships!  With the triathlons being held on Saturday and the Aquathlon on the Sunday, there is nothing stopping you from coming to town and taking home a couple of pieces of silverware for your trouble!
  4. 20% discount for AusTriathlon / NSW Triathlon Members – As an exclusive AusTriathlon / NSW Triathlon Membership offer, enter code “BBTNSWTRI20″at the checkout for a 20% discount. Discount is valid to any Standard or Premium season 2023/2024 member registers for a triathlon on Saturday and the Aquathlon on Sunday.
  5. Well-earned cold beverages on the deck! – Nothing screams ‘Byron Bay’ like having some well-earned cold beverages on the SLSC Deck post-race. Local event sponsor ‘Stone and Wood’ offer a Friday afternoon session and a Saturday ‘Soiree’, where the water, soft drinks or alcoholic beverages are available to enjoy, think back on what you’ve achieved and more then likely, start planning for your return in 2025!
