AusTriathlon is excited to announce the team selected to represent Australia at the 2025 World Triathlon Multisport Championships.
The team of 129 talented athletes will proudly wear the green and gold as they compete for world title honours in Pontevedra, Spain, from June 20-29.
Australian Age Group Team Manager, Alex Fehon, praised the athletes for earning the opportunity to represent their country on the world stage.
“I’d like to congratulate each athlete on their selection to the Australian Age Group Team for the 2025 World Triathlon Multisport Championships,” Fehon said.
“It’s such an honour to represent Australia, and each athlete selected has earned that right with the outstanding effort they’ve put in.
“Being part of the Australian Age Group Team is about coming together with athletes who share the same goal of competing at the top level while proudly representing Australia.
“I’m looking forward to supporting the team in Spain as they show what it means to race for Australia.”
The 2025 World Triathlon Multisport World Championships will feature a variety of events, including the Standard Duathlon, Sprint Duathlon, Cross Triathlon, Cross Duathlon, Aquathlon, Aquabike, and Long Distance Triathlon.
Six women from the Australian Age Group Team will line-up in Pontevedra to defend the world titles they claimed at last year’s World Triathlon Multisport Championships in Townsville.
Penelope Nevill (35-39) is aiming for a third consecutive Sprint Duathlon title, while Katrina Skellern (50-54) is ready to fight for her Cross Triathlon crown once again.
Kim Bowling (55-59) and Viv Broadbent (35-39) return to defend their Aquathlon titles, while Maeve Goehner (20-24) and Sarah Watson (45-49) will look to retain their Standard Duathlon Championships.
