AusTriathlon is excited to introduce Aus3, a dynamic new program designed to inspire Aussie kids to be active through swimming, biking, and running or any combination of the three.
Delivered in partnership with the Australian Sports Commission’s Sporting Schools Program, Aus3 provides schools with a fun, flexible, and non-competitive way to engage students in physical activity while developing fundamental movement skills.
AusTriathlon General Manager – Sport Services, Alex Anasson, is thrilled to launch the program and can’t wait to see more kids enjoying swimming, biking, and running.
“We are so proud to finally be bringing this program to schools and we look forward to seeing kids do the Aus3,” Annason said.
“We know engaging in these three activities on a regular basis leads to increased confidence, health and fitness and we aim to inspire more kids to enjoy these three activities with their family and friends.”
What is Aus3?
Aus3 focuses on the three core sports at the heart of Australian culture – swim, bike, and run – helping children aged 7-12 build confidence, fitness, and teamwork in an inclusive environment. The program’s “choose your own adventure” approach allows students to explore different activities, keeping them engaged and excited about staying active.
A Fun & Creative Twist for Term 2
To celebrate the launch, schools enrolling for Term 2 will have the chance to name the official Aus3 characters through a fun colouring competition! These characters will feature across the program throughout the year, giving students a creative way to leave their mark on the Aus3 experience. Plus schools and students will be in the running to win some great prizes!
How Schools Can Get Involved
Schools can apply now to bring Aus3 to their students in Term 2 with subsequent application dates soon to be available for terms 3 and 4. With support for teachers and a focus on physical literacy, Aus3 makes it easy to incorporate an engaging physical activity program into the school curriculum.
