The NSW Triathlon Annual General Meeting was held on Wednesday 29th November 2023 via technology.
Glenn Schwarzel (NSW Triathlon President) thanked all the delegates of the clubs who joined the meeting, contributing to this important process.
The President’s Report, Chief Executive Officers Report and Financial Report were presented. NSW Triathlon reported a net surplus for the year ended 30 June 2023 of $4,749. The figures were closely monitored during the year to ensure a small surplus was achieved and the organisation has retained earnings of $562,076 leaving the association in a strong financial position and well placed to face future challenges should they arise.
All four motions for constitutional change were endorsed by the voting delegates. An updated constitution will be circulated shortly and uploaded to the website ASAP.
Congratulations to the three successful applicants including Deanna Waters (Northern Suburbs Triathlon Club), Nicky Western (Scone Triathlon Club) and Megan Goodwin (Orange Triathlon Club) all of whom were was re-elected to the Board.
The election results were confirmed by our Independent Scrutineer – Graham Seers (AusCycling General Manager) and we thank him for the role he played.
The role of the board remains more relevant now then ever providing local guidance and leadership to the sport of Triathlon in NSW, ensuring our local clubs receive the support they require and monitoring the performance of our staff.
The future looks strong for the sport of Triathlon in NSW!
